Dr. Kristi Kennedy DVM

DVM

Veterinarian

Kristi Kennedy joined the Reta family in October 2025 as small animal practitioner. Kristi earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from University of Arizona in 2025. Prior to becoming a veterinarian, Kristi was an instructor at Texas Christian University (TCU). At TCU she taught courses in geology and environmental sciences and led students on study abroad programs to Costa Rica and Borneo. She has been fortunate to work with primatologists Drs. Jane Goodall and Birute Galdikus. In her last year teaching, Kristi and her students traveled to Borneo to study impacts of the expanding palm oil industry on populations of wild orangutans.

During COVID, Krist began volunteering with the amazing veterinarians at the Pima Animal Care Center Clinic. She credits her decision to pursue a second career in veterinary medicine to the veterinarians at PACC.

Kristi is passionate about expanding access to veterinary care to the greater Tucson community, providing high level medical care to her patients, and fostering lasting relationships with her clients.

Kristi’s professional interests include soft tissue surgery, canine rehabilitation, and primate veterinary medicine. During Kristi’s free time she loves to swim, hike, and spend time with her husband, three dogs, and monkey-tail skink named Pedro.
