Dr. Henrichs is originally from Michigan where he grew up surrounded by a wide variety of animals from a young age. Before he first joined Reata Dr. Henrichs earned his Bachelor of Science from Cornell University in 2011, graduating Magna Cum Laude. During vet school he took advantage of opportunities to work in the University's equine emergency surgery service, care for working equines in the Andes mountains of Peru, and research the safety of equine pain medications. He enjoys all aspects of equine practice, and his areas of special interest include lameness, sports medicine, podiatry, dentistry, dental surgery, and emergency and critical care. He lives in Vail with his wife Danielle, their son Henry, and their many animals including two mares, May and June.
