Veterinarian

Dr. Griffyn Krause is a Tucson native who grew up riding horses and showing in the local hunter/jumper circuit. She earned her Bachelor's degree from the University of Arizona before heading across the country to pursue her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) at the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine (Go Gators!). Following graduation, Dr. Krause completed a year-long equine rotating internship at the renowned Equine Medical Center of Ocala in Ocala, Florida, further honing her expertise. After five years in the swamp, Dr. Krause is returning to her roots in Southern Arizona to serve the equine community.

Her professional interests include equine emergency and critical care, field surgery, and equine reproduction, but she has a deep passion for all aspects of equine medicine. Known affectionately as the "donkey doctor," she also takes great joy in caring for donkeys and other unique equine patients. When she's not working, Dr. Krause enjoys reading, traveling, and spending quality time with her fiancé, Dakota, and their two dogs, Arnie and Ziggy. She's committed to providing the highest standard of care to the horses of Southern Arizona and is excited to make a positive impact in the community.
